Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Really like this mod. Using it with a DFGT. I don't think I have the oscillating problem others mentioned but there is definitely a large dead zone in the middle. The wheel "clicks" as I enter it so it is very noticeable. I think I still prefer using this over the default FFB though. Thank you for making it!
Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
So for some reason this plugin isn't working for me anymore (after reinstalling ETS2 again yesterday).
I've got the Real_G27_ffb_x64.dll and Real_G27_ffb.ini inside the ...ETS2\bin\win_x64\plugins\ directory. When starting the game a real_g27_ffb.log is created and contains the various log entries, no errors (also no errors with debug_mode=1). However, I do not get any FFB on the wheel (wheel does work ingame)
Currently installed software:
Win10 64bit
ETS2 1.27 (running in 64 bit mode)
Logitech profiler 5.10.127
Microsoft Framework 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6 and 4.6.1
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005,8,10,12,13, and 2015 redistributable x86 and x64 (all versions)
Real_G27_ffb_v2.5.zip
The profiler is set up as described on the main page and I have turned off the FFB ingame.
When setting FFB ingame to on (and in other games/sims) I do have FFB, so there's nothing wrong with the wheel.
Anyone got an idea why it isn't working on my setup?

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Open the console and type sdk reload and then press enter. Seems that the sdk is not loaded.
Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Thanks for the reply FalloutH4kk4! Unfortunatly SDK Unload/Reload didnt work, but I might found out in which direction my issue lies:
- The plugin does get loaded, without errors. This can been seen in the ingame console and inside the logfile. When only connecting the G27 and seperate G27 pedals using a Bodnar cable to my computer (and ofcourse a mouse and kb) the plugin works as intended and outputs the following log:
- when connecting my Pro-Race 2 and Wheelplate the plugin stops working and the log is missing information compared to the previous log (lines 39 to 54)
Notice the missing PID, VID, wheel properties and wheel settings lines I mentioned earlier:
In an earlier post I read I should insert these following lines into the ini file:
#preferred_vendor_id=1133
#preferred_product_id=49819
(these seem to be the correct PID and VID values, seen in the first logfile and I also checked these in registry) This however does not fix the problem when my Pro-Race 2 is connected, the plugin still doesnt seem to find my G27, the same lines (39 to 54) are still missing while these lines:
are now correctly set up. When I disconnect the Pro-Race 2 HID and only use the wheel with these settings (after restart) the G27 wheel now only turns 90 degrees in either direction while the wheel ingame turns 900 degrees. After the 90 degrees the FFB kicks in and it becomes very hard to turn the wheel futher.
The problems occurs for me when the Pro-Race 2 is connected to my machine, even if I delete the accompanied plugin from ETS2, so it doesn't seem to be a plugin incompability issue.
The Pro-Race 2 display (and wheelplate) have the following PID: 32970 and VID: 1240.
All tests were conducted after multiple stages; reboot computer, restart game and during gameplay.
It seems to me that when I connect the Pro-Race 2 HID the plugin seems to be lost and can't correctly find the G27 or the signal is getting 'hijacked'. I hope you, Supric, (or ofcourse any one else who is able to) are able to make some sense of this information and perhaps help me solve this issue.
Either way, thanks in advance for anyone taking the trouble to read this post
EDIT:
In a spur of the moment idea I disconnected the pedals from my system and tried again with my Pro-Race 2 HID connected. The plugin does now work! So it seems to my that I have too many HID's connected to my system/are able to communicate with ETS2/the FFB plugin? Quick fix for now seems to be to stop using the Bodnar cable when playing ETS2 and sacrifice pedal resolution. I am afraid though when i'm done with my DIY custom button box (a teensy 3.2 with a lot of different switches, rotary encoders ect.) and connect it to my machine I get the same problem I'm facing now

(these seem to be the correct PID and VID values, seen in the first logfile and I also checked these in registry) This however does not fix the problem when my Pro-Race 2 is connected, the plugin still doesnt seem to find my G27, the same lines (39 to 54) are still missing while these lines:
Code: Select all
read from ini, WHEEL/preferred_vendor_id = 1133
read from ini, WHEEL/preferred_product_id = 49819
I am afraid though when i'm done with my DIY custom button box (a teensy 3.2 with a lot of different switches, rotary encoders ect.) and connect it to my machine I get the same problem I'm facing now
Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Hi,
I had this plugin working last night with many devices plugged in and no reference in the .ini file to VID or PID. But today I can't get it to work. I have found my VID and PID but still it will not work.
==============================================
Device VendorID: 1133
Device ProductID: 49817

If I disconnect my Orbweaver, Saitek Panel, my Track IR, and my CISO gear shift with:
[WHEEL]
preferred_vendor_id=1133
preferred_product_id=49817
overall_gain=100
wheel_range=900
in the .ini and have only my G25 plugged in then it still does not work. If I remove the two 'id' lines from the .ini with only the G25 then it does work.
I was reading all afternoon this thread but I still can't work a solution. I even tried PID 49819 but that of cause is a different product. Oh I have also rebooted after changes to the .ini file and/or hardware configuration.
I hope I am not too unclear, I apologise for my language use.
Zs.
Hi I think I found a sort of a solution. I just removed the PID line and left in the VID and it seems, for now, to be working. Sorry I posted a little premature, I thought I had exhausted all my ideas and was at my wit's end.

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
G25 & G27 have different PIDs.
You can unplug all devices except G25, then run game with plugin and check for G25 PID in plugin log.

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Hi supric,
I did that and got 49817 for PID which I used. I am now using you excellent plugin with only the VID because I can't get it to work at all if I include the PID. However, I no longer get castor effect with slight steering movements and I don't anymore get the camber pressure effecting cantering position so I still working on ideas for a full fix. But still it is a great improvement on the default game options. On the weekend I will look in the G25 to see if the FFB gears are OK. Sometimes when cornering the G25 vibrates rapidly like a phone. That might explain why I had out plugin working fully and now I can't get that.
Thanks for the tip.
One thing I am confused about and did not see in this thread or I missed it. In the .rtf file in the archive you say "- Allow game to adjust settings – enabled." but the screen shot in second comment shows in settings this is NOT enabled.

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Does this plugin work for a Fanatec Forza Elite wheel? My friend is trying to get this plugin to work with that wheel. We followed the installation process in order and made sure everything is in the right place. Everything is in the right place, and when he was testing in-game, the FFB isn't working, no matter how much we tried to diagnose the issue. I'm hoping someone with the same/similar Fanatec wheel would come up and share some good news with us.
