You can simply change the extension from .zip to .scs, even after archive is built.

ETS2 and ATS now accept .zip natively. I don't know if older games were updated to do the same.
If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

The Zip file is in the Mod folder. When I put the cursor over it, it shows Zip file 2.24 KB. When I play other games in Haulin' I've had as many as 12 Zip files in the Mod Folder at one time and when I checked they're all SCS files but I don't remember physically change a Zip file to an SCS file. What are the steps?

as far as I know, you only need change the extension from .zip to .scs
You do that the same way as changing the filename/extension of any other file.

OK, the Base folder has the three lines added to the appropriate folders. They were added while the Base folder was situated on the desk top and then put back in the main Haulin' folder as an SCS file.
The Mod folder only has an SCS file in it with the three lines also in the appropriate folders. When I try to load the game I get this in the bottom portion of the Prism 3d file:

13:27:15 : [game] Trying to mount MOD archive: C:/Users/Eric/Documents/18 WoS Haulin/mod/1952 Kenworth Bullnose.scs

13:27:16 : load_filtered_unit_array() - Failed to open file (/vehicle/truck/truck_storage.sii)
13:27:23 : Loading city data ....

I compressed it using the Zip Archive Format and the Store Compression Method. When I try to load the game it freezes just before it goes into the options window where a truck is rotating. Any idea's ? :?:

That's not right. You cannot change the base folder files. They need to be left alone.
The only things that should be in your mod are the files and folders you've modified. Nothing else.
The game will read those files and folders and over-write the relevant files that were originally loaded at game start.
In your case, the mod files only replace game files that are already loaded.

I put the Base folder files back to original by removing those three lines from their respective files.
Those three lines are located as the SECOND line in each of the respective files in the folder that is in the Mod folder. The game still freezes in the same place while loading and the prism3d file says the same as before the Base folder change. Where SHOULD those three "@include" lines be located in the Camera, Interior and Truck files which are in the Mod folder? :cry:

PS:
Now I have a problem. The game freezes while loading with NOTHING in the Mod folder :?: :?: :?:
As if it were starting from scratch :!:

Probably because you edited the base.scs then repacked it which is something you should never do.

So that means I might have to reload the game from the disc. It's not to big a job because I save each game that I want to keep in separate Mod and Game folders with a name that will tell me which game it is.

Anyway, this is the first answer I got after my original post. Now I know better. I'll let you know if I ever get that '52 KW to work in the game. Thanks for all your patients.

Look in the game base and you can find all those folders just add those lines as needed and paste them to your desktop so the base still has them in the files resave them as a scs fIles and install them in the mod folder

Well, KW, maybe it's just not ment to be. I reloaded the game from the disc. I even deleted and reloaded the disc for the steering wheel options which have nothing to do with this. The Base folder is in place. The game loads. The only Mod in the Mod folder is the file for the 52 KW with the three lines added. Now I added the lines as the second line in each file. Maybe it should be the first? This is the complete instructions in the Read Me:

Credits:
- BlackAce: truck.
- Lukee: Headlight.
- Chris (bayonet), Ivan (hardtruckisthebest): Wheels
- Steve (evh5150vanhalen), Ivan (hardtruckisthebest): Interior.
- Juampa(Me): convercion de PTTM a Haulin

Install:

copy and paste interior_storage.sii

@include "definition/fltpint1.sii"

copy and paste camera_storage.sii

@include "units/interior_05379fltp.sii"

copy and paste truck_storage.sii

@include "definition/bull.sii"

Any suggestions :?: :?: :?:
