Imagine going out of the truck.
Imagine a feature or a mod where you could exit the truck to eat at a rest stop or a food exit when you became hungry, or go out to experience the environment currently around you, and imagine going inside a motel at night after parking your truck or going into the back of your truck to sleep. Imagine going to a local store to buy some water or drink you can put in your truck. I think such a feature would be amazingly outstanding and add to the realism of the game.

Re: Imagine going out of the truck.
People have been asking that for years, even when ETS2 was first released. Nothing has been done so far...

Re: Imagine going out of the truck.
Just use the dev camera to walk about like the rest of us. Perfect first person view.

Imagine we stop cars and bomb them and kill the drivers etc. too... Oh wait, that's GTA

@Moh1336 Has no other entertainment or gameplay value other than aesthetics.

Well, leaving the truck and going behind to have a watch would be nice, I agree. You can't see everything in the mirrors.
A new camera mode hovering steadily above the ground - like the "dropped" camera in the map editor - plus collision checking would do the trick. Just start short off the driver's door when selecting the cam. Could be utterly simple.
Sorry, but no, that's an immersion-killer. It is too hard to avoid all the clipping effects. And other cameras are not very useful when you are backing up, with other trailers standing nearby.Moh1336 wrote:Just use the dev camera to walk about like the rest of us. Perfect first person view.

Please add this, like the TML Guys have done this in Fernbus-Simulator.
Re: Imagine going out of the truck.
It's a truck simulator. Not a take-a-break-and-sleep simulator. I sincerely hope they never waste any time on developing something like this.
Re: Imagine going out of the truck.
Next time you see a driver walking around his truck you should inform him how wrong this is.
Re: Imagine going out of the truck.
I like how in FS17 you can walk around and manually strap down machinery and pallets, I wouldn't mind seeing this kind of thing in TS.
