Nothing so far?
Just that if you are going to link to a product, it's required that you include some more information that's all.
I merely informed you of the fact that, while you can't do prices and stuff, you CAN link to a product page. That product page doesn't necessarily have to take orders. You can put whatever information you want about the final product on that product page.
The product page CAN be the kickstarter page you have/will set up while that campaign is running.

...

Beyond that, your product would have to be competitive with the other product(s) out there. Either in pricing, in quality, ease of setup, options, support etc etc for it to become successful.
If you ask me, the project looks no different than the SKRS so far.

the problem with the skrs is communication..no one at cisio tech will answer the emails,phone calls or their social media post..very bad customer service..

In the end a shift knob is just two buttons, a logic control board, and a USB cable. Any product of this type should look and function identically. The idea isn't to reinvent the wheel, but to offer another brand of wheel in a market where wheels are extremely hard to come by.

I hate to bump my own thread, but our kickstarter is now up if anyone is interested in checking it out. We'll hopefully be able to start production of these within the next 30 days!

@barak1001

I have posted the kickstarter on reddit in hopes of attracting backers for you. I will be backing the project at the end of the week.

Even if we don't wind up making our funding goal on kickstarter, we'll still be producing the shift knob. We'll just be buying our supplies on a much smaller scale. We'll also be releasing an adapter for the logitech driving shifter that will allow you to direct connect to your pc for about half of what current adapters are selling for.

I've been thinking about adding the adapter functionality into the Mega Shifters that I make for all of the kickstarter backers as the cost to add in the plug and wire it into the control board for the shifter would be minimal.

You can find the driving force shifters on ebay extremely cheap.

Edit:

I also wanted to clarify, the Mega Shifter is the knob. The logitech DFS that's pictured with it won't be included. I hoped that was clear, but I don't want people getting the wrong idea. Though I may add a kickstarter tier that does include it for a bit more.
