Where's da Curtainsider trailers?
Where's da Curtainsider trailers?
Can't believe there are so few curtainsider mods, the one SCS chose for the game is not very common at all.
Here is what I usually see, which I did state in an older topic.... which now seems to have disappeared: (found it: viewtopic.php?f=185&t=199802)

http://www.curtainsider.ca/files/theme/slide-13.jpg
http://www.curtainsider.com/uploads/5/6 ... 4_orig.jpg (gotta hate that image size limit)
Pinnacle:
[ external image ] (replaced previous curtainsider image, looked kinda messy and not well put together, and not common)
I usually have an easier time finding stuff like this not sure why I'm pulling up European results
This one just turned out to be a modified flatbed with that Conestoga XP system (very common variant):
[ external image ] last image used disappeared these are usually black not blue
http://www.jessalesco.com/img/slider-im ... side-4.jpg I would've used this picture but dat image limit again
Hmmm.... ya know what..... these "curtainsiders" are actually just modified flatbeds... oops.

Yep... My Old Pappy used to say they are custom flatbeds with a fancy hat.

Re: Where's da Curtainsider trailers?
We do have them, they're just those silly looking trailers with the raised platform at the front, remnants of something 80s.
I honestly wish they'd replace them with something more like this.

i wish the curtain sided trailers were replaced with these spread-axle 53FT curtain sided flatbeds
the one pictured above is very common in the USA
the one currently in the game i only ever saw 2 of IRL

Slight correction in case there is a misunderstanding but in this link: http://www.curtainsider.com/picture-gal ... r_pictures
The LIVE POULTRY CURTAINSIDER is also another thing I do not see in North Carolina or anywhere else on the east coast (or maybe it was not deployed), usual live poultry trailers I see are like this:
http://wadeservices.com/?page_id=1074 (dang image size limit, but this is just another modified flatbed)
This is what I see..... and smell on the east coast. And there is a tridem version of this as well, but I don't see tridem versions on the east coast.

Link to one of the trailer manufactures for SCS's sake: http://www.mheby.com/product-categories ... -trailers/
Possum Belly Tran-Pork is the type of livestock trailer I usually see.... not sure if they use them to just haul pigs around.
A link to another one: http://www.barrett-trailers.com/semi-aluminum-trailers
The variant I usually see.

Not to say that these are the exact trailers I see but they look very similar to what I see..... or maybe these are the same ones.

Is it just me, or is that truck with the blue trailer in the original post driving in oncoming traffic on the Interstate?

Re: Where's da Curtainsider trailers?
No. No no no. Rare or not, I would never want them replaced. At the end of the day it's more choice and variety. But adding more common trailers in as additions is totally fine with me.rocknrollDaVE wrote:i wish the curtain sided trailers were replaced with these spread-axle 53FT curtain sided flatbeds
