Re: Next State After New Mexico?
Oh I live in that particular state. Can we have a State of Bliss instead?

Re: Next State After New Mexico?
This thread is in the state of Confusion.
More on topic, my vote is Utah then Colorado to make it so we aren't always cornered into driving the same old roads.
To extend my arguments, the path I would follow from here would be something like.
UT, CO, OR, WA, ID, TX, WY, MT, OK, KS, NB, SD, ND, MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, WI, IL and from there do back and forth north/south>East KY,TN,IN, MS,OH,AL etc...
The main advantages to this path are
-keeping multiple routes open/maintaining a "block" of states
-maintaining a decent amount of scenery variation
-getting through the big states early on. By MT you would have a very sizeable driving area, by ND you will have covered over half of the area of CONUS and thats only 13 states from where we will be once NM is released.
Disadvantages
-It will take a little longer to get to the forested eastern states (OK-ND being an especially samey samey kind of area but it needs to be done) but once we do they should fill in quick as thier individual area is much smaller than the previous states.

Honestly, after New Mexico, one of the many States of Trucking...
Then, a State of Trucking.

Why? Trucking!

That's a trucking good idea, I think you're on to something there!

You will be old and gray before SCS gets around to putting out another state.

I'm mostly bald. I'll be really confused if I go grey.

Until you've actually worked with the map editor, you shouldn't complain about how long it takes SCS to produce a map. I've been working on one city for two weeks so far. And its only to replace the Wichita Falls thats in Coast 2 Coast with a better one.iOutlaw wrote:You will be old and gray before SCS gets around to putting out another state.

Yeah I'm surprised they aren't using a better editor.
Whether it be financial or engine constraints, I mean, if they were using something similar to what Train Simulators use they would likely be able to churn out content much faster. Even Microsoft Train Simulators map editor was pretty simple to use after a bit of a learning curve.
