The speed limiter for US trucks is generally set by the company owner. 55 is a speed often used just like it is over here.

well his truck is a frieghtliner century stakebed 6x4 , big, its built to haul clyinders, clorine, and hazordus loads to plants like shell,bp,and cheveron, and other big loads, so it needs to be governed at 55 cause of the loads, and the truck is located in houston, tx.

dubmans: I hope you had a great day with your stepfather on that truck. Sounds fun to me anyway! :)

Just a few suggestions: I'm not sure you'd be able to mod the speed limiter, but it's you who is in control of the gas pedal, so maybe ease down a bit? And if your gas pedal happens to be a [W] key, maybe use the cruise control at 55mph? That's what I do a lot, as I find my truck driving the most economically that way. well i went on a trip with him to mobile alabama a 6hr and 34 min drive. it was fun, long and the ability to see over everybody on the highway, and sit truck level, and see other trucks interiors, got to see the lsu stadium in the distance from I-10, and go on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (hopefully scs will incorporate this in game) cause well its a 20 mile bridge. the Horace Wilkinson Bridge going into baton rouge. the Calcasieu River Bridge going into lake charles.

Can you not just set your own personal 'Do not exceed' limit? I don't see why anyone would want to have an artificial limiter on their vehicle unless mandated by law or employer, you have control over your own right foot.
