Company Trucks

#1 Post by JennaKillz » 19 Oct 2016 03:59

I currently have 6 trucks and 5 hired drivers, they are all levelling and making money with no real problems. My question is does anyone ever see any of their trucks on the road ? Or does it just not happen ? Should I sit outside my garage and wait and see if they show up ?

Nope... Sorry. That isn't possible. "They" are just programming. You know, data streams, algorithms, 1's and 0's, and all that...

Thank you very much for your answer. I figured as much but was about to get stupid and lurk outside the garage for a couple days.

Heh. I also tried to rush to the garage to see the units that "should" be home but the place was always empty. Pity!

It'd be nice to see your company's other trucks roll by once in a while. Or even just show up on a parking lot where they're supposedly resting along the route they're supposedly driving. Sadly, stuff like this isn't on the devs' to-do list. :|

But this is great idea and makes game more realistic! If i have 60 trucks painted in my custom paint, despite big distances in America, you must see your paintjob on road time to time! Is this so hard for developers to include in game? I mean.. it's only paintjob to paste on traffic truck, already existing in game....

I wish I had read this post several months ago when I attempted to see my own trucks from time to time. Only to find out that I wasted time and money trying to organize my company. Now I just give my drivers trucks with only the best engine available.

I don't think that there is any difference if you equipe your drivers with 370 hp or 625 hp engines. X miles long delivery multiply with y time per mile = time to finish the job. Or as simple as that: If your driver have truck ---> start driving and making money, if don't ---> sitting around and leave you after few days :)

There is a difference.

I once read that drivers do much better if you give them better equipment. Pretty much like real life. I wouldn't do a fleet of day cabs and expect my drivers to do OTR driving. Better motors can haul cargo much easier. With all the money we make, we might as well use it up some type of way. What better way than invest in your company/employees.
