Cost of state DLCs
Cost of state DLCs
How much will state DLCs about the size of Oregon cost in the future?

Re: Cost of state DLCs
This is pure speculation on my part, but considering the size of CA, NV and AZ cost about 20 euros, I'd guess that maybe a combo of Washington, Oregon and Idaho would go for about the same.
Some states might be less, when/if they start getting to Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, there isn't a whole lot of scenery to do, just fields and fields of farm.

OR, WA, and ID would be the first map DLC I'd buy. The area of CA+NV+AZ is 388,261 square miles. OR+WA+ID is 253,470 square miles. So if they are selling the DLCs based on area and complexity like you said, and they are similar in complexity to CA, NV, and AZ, that would work out to about $9.79 assuming the value of the current 3 states is $15 (let's say the other $5 is the trucks and programming). Of course it could be less than that if the current value of the states are less. Guess I answered my own question.

Another ATS speculation thread. Is this becoming a tradition or what? [ external image ]

Iowa is cornbelt and beginning of industrial belt extending east. Need daddy Chicago for anything in Midwest if your in Iowa everyday of the week, and getting assigned to Twin Cities like vacation.

Can't compare price of original game with DLCs any more. The increased size after the scale change will most likely increase the price a bit. More work to do with a bigger map

I doubt the price of the DLC will change. I expect the price will be roughly the same as ETS2 for similar sized areas, as I always assumed it would be.

Re: Cost of state DLCs
In my educated opinion and familiar to SCS's state of mind, states might be "bundled by two or three" if they are not big enough, so direct multiplication of a single DLC would not give total cost by end of the USA. SCS is player friendly when it comes to prices.
So expect different prices for each state even if not bundled depending how large / small or detailed they are. Probably there might be bundled packs in the end, for reduced prices than buying all seperately.

Price will go up with increased scale but just be like ETS2 type prices. Wyoming DLC wonder what in store every town as Wenemucca or Toropah feel.
