Dark graphics using exterior camera
Dark graphics using exterior camera
Hey everyone.
Been having this issue for quite some time, hopefully someone is able to help me find a solution.
For some weird reason my graphics turn dark when using exterior camera, mainly camera2. Below is 2 pics showing the difference.
This is how it usually look when firing up the game, everything is just fine
[ external image ]
Then I change to camera 1 when driving (works perfect), but the next time I go to camera 2 view my game looks like this
[ external image ]
This keep happening, if I continue changing between camera 1 and camera 2 I might be lucky and the game look like the 1st pic but only like 1 out of 20 times, the other 19 times I get darker graphics like the 2nd pic
I don't use any graphic or weather mods and I have been thru all my mods and none of them have anything related to graphics, weather or camera settings. I use Nvidia Inspector to tweak my graphics but even if I reset the game's profile on Inspector and remove Inspector it still happens...... Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this to happen??
Regards Bora

Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
Just a guess, but i believe it`s some kind of HDR bug. Maybe, you should try and disable HDR in graphics options and at the same time increase brightness a little.

I had the same with bad hdr.sii file.
Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
It is because nVidia Inspector settings...
It effs up the HDR and can not exactly transition on changed HDR between "hours" or sky colors.
There is no solution for it. It always was like this... Reset the nVidia Profile in Inspector to defaults and you will see what you see in the cab and outside is always same.

Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
I don't using inspector, but have the same.
I know that in some cases between sun position, skybox texture brightness and HDR setting
target_gray and target_white - graphics become dark. In some cases it happens when sun_profiles changing or changing climates (default/desert)
But I don't know how it report as bug, because I see it in my weather mod.
EDIT. This problem is not in ETS2.

Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
1. It happens both in ETS & ATS if you are using Inspector, removing Inspector does not mean you are setting your defaults of driver.
2. To replicate it you need to play longer duration to witness HDR changes, both time or tunnel etc. You can even notice too bright HDR when you look from left window out.
ETS/ATS does not have a perfect setting to put in nVidia Inspector that's why it does not come with the drivers. I hope to see better Antialiasing settings for nVidia in future so we don't need Inspector.
There are some nVidia Inspector settings that does not do that, but it is not from known ones and does not perform very well about antialiasing, which we mostly why we use it.

Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
@SiSL nVivda inspector not supported my old graphic card
So problem not only in Inspector.
So problem not only in Inspector.
Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
Without inspector, it does not happen in vanilla game, that's what I'm pointing out. You said, it happens in mod
Re: Dark graphics using exterior camera
I can't use game weather - it is too dark for meSiSL wrote:You said, it happens in mod
EDIT.
Small notes.
When I edit my weather mod I see:
One look in Weather editor (Map Editor)
Second look from inside cabin
Third look from external camera (roof, bumper...)
Fourth look from free camera ("0" key)
Fifth look from photo camera.
Sometime 2 or maximum 3 looks match
Now you know why I don't update my weather mod?
