Resetting origin in blender 2.78

#1 Post by DAFmanXFE6 » 06 Apr 2017 21:28

Hello all,

Having alittle difficulty with my latest bit of blender work. I'm now trying to finish my leaf spring and I'm merging all the objects together so I can easily add in the clamps etc.

Anyway I can do that with the leaf springs because the orange dot (origin point) is up and to the right of the mesh itself, so when you merge is moves them down as it merges the origin points together.

Would anyone be able to tell me how I can reset the orange origin point (in the middle of the axis arrows) back to the centre of the mesh?

Use Shift-CTRL-ALT-C combination, when menu will appear, choose "Origin to 3d cursor" or press "T" key.
If 3d cursor is not in the coords center, move it there first by pressing Shift-S and choose "Cursor to center".
