Shift Up/Down Hintbroken with Allison Transmissions [36741]

With any Allison Transmission, the Shift Up Hint and Shift Down Hint function does not work when Adaptive Automatic Transmission mode is enabled in game. Shift Up Hint, and Shift Down Hint works fine when Adaptive automatic transmission mode is not enabled on the Allison transmissions. Also Shift Up Hint, and Shift Down Hint function works fine with all Eaton transmissions with Adaptive Automatic Transmission mode, on or off.

I got an interesting result, while stopped using an Alisson transmission the gearbox already changes the gear engaged but when moving the logic of the torque conversor overrides our input, so i judge that is according to reality, since torque conversor works different from conventional automatic gearboxes.

But will check with other guys and see if there is really a problem, thanks.



EDIT: The way it is reproduces closer to reallity of torque converters transmissions.

It is a bug. The bug not only prevents you from using Shift Up/Down Hint commands while driving when the "Adaptive automatic transmission" is enabled, it also makes those keys useless right after disabling "Adaptive mode". You can use Hints again only after reloading a savegame or restarting the game.

Also Allison Transmission Push Button Shift Selector (at 1m41s) suggests, that you can manually up/downshift Allison Transmission even though it is a "smart" one.

You have to go to sequential mode on Allison in order to get your "manual" changes, this is also emulated on games via a key that do that function. About shift hint while in full auto mode I watched several documents about and didn't found.

The video talks exactly about the manual selection while in sequential mode, and also tell us that even in sequential mode the transmission will not allow driver to change a gear that puts the rpm range out of limits to prevent damage.
