I'm really hoping once they get rigids they will look into this type of combo too:

I'll be immediately requesting permission from the relevant state authorities to run B-Doubles and Triples - and of course permission will be granted :D

I wonder if they will add the doubles into the AI.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no and hope to be proven wrong.

And they drive really bad, i don't expect SCS will do any about introducing that type of AI, but in the new Rest Areas blog post, they told us they have news about teaching AIs to drive better so we can still dream about the future of it.

Two issues: AI tracks and thus trailers cutting into opposing traffic esp. on tight European prefabs, and maybe reviving problems when a double needs to go backwards.
There's not much that can be done about the tracks, they've got a ridiculously wide radius already on some prefabs and passenger cars taking the same track look stupid. Might look stupid as well when a double does several backward correction runs and more or less jackknifes the rear trailer, and then grazes along traffic in the next lane.

Fixing that would require replacing waypoint AI with robust navmesh that would allow AI trucks to optimise their way on the fly.
