Are we correct in assuming that the underlying technology of multi pivots will be in both ATS & ETS2 games?
So that it can be utilised via mods for truck trailer combinations in both games?
Thank you for clarifying this issue.

Nothing has been said on the matter, but I would be tempted to say no.

Because it's a DLC feature that you're essentially paying for, it wouldn't make sense to me to have it included in the other game for free.

It would be suicide by SCS if they intend to keep multi pivots away from ETS2.
It is the most requested feature from day 1. Including it in ATS and not including it in ETS2 would mean a straight FU to all of the ETS2 players, and we all know there's millions of them.

What that most likely means is that while the multi pivot feature will be added to both games, SCS isnt adding any content to ETS2 that will use it.

As long as it is usable by modders we will be fine.
After all, modders make most of the content of this game - we need SCS to build to game engine. Finally they actually did something to improve the basic game.
However, it truly would be suicide to willingly keep it away from ETS2 players.

so a 8x4 is not necessarily needed to haul them but would be easier then a 4x2 or a 6x2

Honestly 4x2/6x2 are just fine. I've had a 62t mod for some time and it's really not an issue. More axles helps, but not required.

I'm hoping in a future update they will add a lock for chassis vs weight to make it more realistic.
