[ARCHIVED] SCS General Discussion Thread
Re: SCS Blog discussion
Actually I used Google and there are a few 8x4 Renault and Iveco, here are some examples.

But they are not factory stock but instead created by third party companies, like Iveco by BearTech as GT-Mike had said in this topic.

Re: SCS Blog discussion
Iveco truck is Trakker which is not in the game And Magnum is not being produced at all any more, so I doubt SCS will get permission for an obsolete truck

Re: SCS Blog discussion
By video new DLC looks like JazzyCat havy cargo trailer mod.
I would not be surprised if he made trailers with turning axles, for all game trucks and not for 8*4 only.

May I ask what is vulcan environment in the last second line?MrBartek123098 wrote:- Buying your own semitrailer - the studio is studying the topic. The studios in the movie suggested that SCS was working on it.
- "Lock" using 8x4 chassis for light loads.
- New map DLC to ETS2 is under development.
- The new SCANIA as the fastest-added truck for ETS2
- No information about new trucks for ATS
- At present SCS is able to create only one state to ATS in an instant.
- DX11 soon.
- The reconstruction of the old part of the map is in the plans.
- Hevy Cargoc DLC for ATS longer than the ETS2.
- In addition, there will be 8 semi-trailers for ATS and ETS2 in the future the possibility of increasing the additional semitrailers.
- All DLC Paint Jobs will follow the new development with the new DLC
- The difference between the release of the ATS add-on will be up to a month.
- If all goes well we have to be very positively surprised by the studio even this year.
- Studio in the middle of the year will change its seat to another because it is too small to make new features and new maps appear faster.
- No plans to release ETS2 and ATS consoles
- Add-ons will be separate for both games, so both add-ons need to be purchased separately.
- No AI vehicles with DLC in motion.
- Some prefabs will have to be reworked for the new DLC
- DX11 will not bring a huge difference to FPS
- Vulcan environment also in plans.
- The reconstruction of the old part of the map will be renewed in sectors. Reconstructed sectors will be released in free updates.
galimim, you are absolutely right.galimim wrote:Iveco truck is Trakker which is not in the game And Magnum is not being produced at all any more, so I doubt SCS will get permission for an obsolete truck
Re: SCS Blog discussion
I've noticed that there's a DLC icon near the 8x4 chassis option and on the paintjobs released with this DLC. Similar icons we're introduced a while back for the rest of DLC.
So is it possible that the 8x4 truck chassis option will only be included in the DLC, alongside the heavy cargo and trailers?
With MrBartek mentioning in an earlier post the restriction of using the 8x4 chassis with the normal trailers, that could be plausible.
Even though it seemed that there's only 8 new cargoes and 2 new trailers with steerable wheels, i'm gonna say that i'm looking forward to this DLC.

Re: SCS Blog discussion
SCS staff said in a video that chassis would be available for free update.

MrBartek123098 Thanks for the translations! The interview seems to touch on the most important topics.
Curious what these two mean:

If it is stupid but it works, it isn't stupid.
