Better Gear/Rear End Ratios

The gearing for almost all transmissions in ATS are far too short(except the Allison transmissions), can we please see some new transmissions with different rear end ratios. The ones currently in game are very short so adding 2 more transmissions for each the Eaton 10spd, 13spd, & 18spd should be good.

Two longer gear ratio rear ends for the same transmission options:
*10spd(1 around 2.40 rear end and 1 around 2.00 rear end),
*13spd(1 around 3.25 rear end and 1 around 2.90 rear end),
*18speed(1 around 3.10 rear end and 1 around 2.90 rear end)

These are rough guesstimates on rear end ratios not real ratios, they are intended to give an idea on the ranges that would be ideal for the game, based on the engines in base game, speed limits in America, and to achieve improved fuel economy.

Installed an engine mod that fixes this. Default engines and gear ratios are so bad, both in sound and in ratio. Most engines are also too powerful so I never upgrade mine, only the gearbox. Otherwise your truck pulls a heavy trailer uphill with zero resistance, crazy.

Right but without mods, for the base game. I play multiplayer mostly is partially why but just 1 set of ratios is skimping a little really lol. Even ETS2 has 2 sets of ratios for each manual transmission.

I agree they are bad, that's why I'm hoping they can add 1 or 2 variants more with different rear end ratios.

Yes he's talking about a mod.
It's quite simple really. You can alter the base game transmissions by simply changing a few numbers.

And while you can't mod ETS2MP, the game is balanced towards what the community as a whole wants.

Oh, so I can go edit that and basically have custom transmission and still use it in mp? Also it changes all of that transmission type?(i.e. 13spd now all 13spd has same values?)

No, you cannot mod MP. For that you'd need to have the TruckersMP guys allow/include the mod in question.
So for that, you have two options.

1) Convince the ATS community that they really want your transmission changes. So that SCS will change it.
2) Convince the TruckersMP staff to allow that one change.
