SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

TBF I think there should be a line of code somewhere that if a modded map is being used then the WoT contracts should be greyed out/ unselectable, would save a lot of hassle all around

Hello Tigerclaw, this is just an idea for you. I have 3 profiles (actually 4)
1. purely vanilla,
2. with mods (trucks/trailers/sounds) but no map mods
3. and another where I use all sorts of mods including map mods.
1 & 2 are great for WOT contracts,. #1 is my original it's good for when betas come out.
And Reef makes a great point about greying out the selection of WOT contracts if map mods are used.
P.S. #4 is new as I have Chris_Nor's Scandinavia map mod.

This signature virus has been spliced with the Fundementalism-B virus to create a new more contagious strain. Please look for it infecting a signature near you.

To me WoT works quite normal (at least so far) with MHAPro map (TSM too).
WoT give jobs only to SCS cities but no crashes game with MHAPro map so that I can drive on this map without any problems (as with all my other mods) enjoying its roads and environment and Alex's billboard ...
And even if the profile without any map I activate (or deactivate) MHAPro (or TSM) game then move my truck at home garage but it to do and WoT and again starts to give me works from hometown.
It would be great if we it could and with Promods ...

Understanding 'map editor' is really easy, all you have to do is understand 'map editor' ...

I'm not sure I see the appeal of WoT jobs over just the in-game jobs. And I wouldn't drive ETS2 without ProMods. It's the only mod map I use in either sim, but it is too good to drive without.

@Griphos, I found with WoT jobs you just get a lot more choice, quite often in the near 4 yrs of playing this game I've wanted to get from where I am back to my base of operations and I find now that with WoT jobs as well as the standard freight market I'm a lot more likely to find one.
I too have just started using PMods again (since 2.03) and I will miss the WoT option but not enough to worry about it as I've only used WoT since it was integrated into the games UI anyway.
I'm sure this is just a temporary oversight on SCS's part and they'll probably have a [is a .mbd active in mod manager if yes then disable contracts] script before too long.
@plykkegaard, true, but the problem with that is some mappers will omit this either on purpose (for cheating reasons or in innocent error ie naivety/novice) not to mention the regular user that will disable it and then complain to SCS when their game doesn't work

I have installed the Promods for a couple of days now and this version is better than ever, I went to Andorre today , so realistic and so much details, that atmosphere

I have to say I normally use TSM and still have an active 1.24 Profile with it on and no problems to date. To balance that I now have a regular Profile with ProMods on and now it's compatible with version 1.24 of ETS 2 I am finding it very enjoyable. What swayed me were the work on England, the English language used to update current events as well as other languages available. I was also hoping for a ferry link from Portsmouth to Bilbao as we had that on an older map extention by someone else. Maybe this will be put in at some point, with any luck. Thanks to all for your valued contributions and work.
