[Linux?] [MultiScreen] [AA] Resolution broken just in gameplay

#1 Post by dfoxpro » 12 May 2017 18:21

HOW TO REPRODUCE
Within Linux (Ubuntu-mate 17.04 in my case), multimonitor (2 screens in my case) and devilSpy for window resizing.
devilSpy settings for ets2 window:

Code: Select all

( if
( begin
( is ( window_class ) "Euro Truck Simulator 2" )
( is ( window_name ) "Euro Truck Simulator 2" )
)
( begin
( undecorate )
( unstick )
( geometry "3488x900+32+0" )
( println "match" )
)
)

Then start the game in window mode (config file attached)

PROBLEM
When you Start to drive the resolutions looks broken, like half of the actual resolution

NOTES
  • The main menu truck graphics looks fine (the cabinet and exterior looks fine). This errors it's only present in gameplay

UPDATE 1

As I said 1 of 10 times I run the game it runs fine, today it runs fine, I look in the gamelog but found nothing diferent, anyway in the game logs it alwais says:

Code: Select all

...
00:00:01.275 : [net] LOG INFO: Started
00:00:01.282 : Setting UI reference mode to: 1440x900...
00:00:01.282 : [gfx] Selected rendering device: gl
...
00:00:01.335 : [gl] Compatible FBconfig found
00:00:01.336 : [gfx] Trying to set 3488x900 32bpp (windowed)
00:00:01.337 : [gl] glxCreateContextAttribs: OK
...
my Screens resolutions are 1600*900 not 1440...

anyway, I add some screen shots how it looks when works fine and when not.

UPDATE 2 and WORK AROUND

The problem is related to the Anti Aliasing and maybe is not only in linux

The way to "fix" is:
· After you enter you profile
· Go to Settings > Graphics
· Uncheck MLAA
· Apply (The screen will blink)
· DO NOT CONFIRM (again the screen will blink)
· Go back and "Drive"
You will get nice screen with no glitch just for this session, the next time you launch the game you will need again to do the same steps
