Eduard_Kenobi, Yes but excavator 13t is also so real, as long as we don't know the model of the excavator.
Where do you have the 10t weight of an empty lowboy/flatbed/ trailer, I could not find it anywhere?.

This is a good discussion, but I need hard facts, no Mumbo jumbo talk of what you think but links which supports the info.
I don't want weight info beyond the cargo, no trailer weight, just cargo weight and facts with links.
We can use 10 pages up and down of what we think but I can't use that.

jarvik79, I think that overweight in this matter also means wideload and is used as a category to anything using lowboy. Just my guess.

Thanks jarvik79, especially for the last link, I had a hard time finding the dead weight elsewhere. ;)

"dead weight" is also known as "tare" weight, or "unladen weight" (also "u/w").
(well, technically they're not quite the same, but in the context of trailers they're synonymous)

(edit: added a missing critical word that made the 2nd line actually make sense, lol)

The excavator look very close to a Hitachi Zaxis 250 (the cab is identical).

Trident, you're absolutely right.
And here we are, official specs from Hitachi:
http://hitachiconstruction.com/assets/f ... 250HT5.pdf
Operating weight: 24,720kg.

Even the smaller ZX210, that has a similar look, is 21t.

From my perspective, it would look like, 25t is correct, and 13t is not.

p.s. (does someone want to QA this? Or do we need a seperate thread in Bugs? or split the topic?)

noted, thanks.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.
