Honestly, I have no idea why the factor is different, it is somehow related to the game :?

As for the UK/EU condition, you can do it with the following code:

Code: Select all

if (x < -31812 && y < -5618) {
    // UK area
} else {
    // EU area
}

Thank you.
I wish SCS would release some tool or otherwise to extract this kind of data (road splines, object locations etc) from the game binaries though. For the purposes of "GPS like" interoperability and printing maps.
On extended hiatus.

I know there was a reason for the scale change in the UK, can't remember what it is though :oops:

So the UK won't seem so small, compared to the rest of the Continental Europe...... something like that.

Imagine the scale that SCS might use for Ireland.

Here's a very quick image of what I'm aiming for:

[ external image ]

I was hoping to be able to trace the image in Illustrator as I have mapping software that I use with it, but Illustrator isn't playing ball so I'm stuck with Photoshop. Colours aren't fixed but highways will be red, motorways/freeways green and tollways blue (the exact hue hasn't been decided - that blue is very...blue!). I'll also see how it looks with terrain shading.

Any chance of a version for ProMods/Poland/Russia? :D

Definitely intended for public use.

That's what I've come up with - roads/highways in red, freeways/motorways in green and tollways in blue. If there's enough interest I'll upload the .psd file on Dropbox. The DEM data will have to come later as it's quite a sizeable file to work with. I'd still like to add rest areas and such information but again that'll be later.

IMO Would look cool for ProMods, Russia map etc.
