Public Beta 1.27 discussion
Re: Public Beta 1.27 discussion
It's look like SCS add some optimization in code in 1.27.0.2 but I'm not sure yet, need some additional tests.

I'm just interested, if Paris got the Eiffel Tower or even the SCS knocked down, but we have to wait for the French to rebuild. Too bad for the DLC France. Again beta brings small additions and insignificant little things, and for all this time SCS is unable to trucks with chassis 6x2 and 6x4 put the side skirts.

I too would like to see side skirts on the 6x chassis.Jasmin-j wrote:…and for all this time SCS is unable to trucks with chassis 6x2 and 6x4 put the side skirts.

You want realism? In the real live from the roads simulated in the ets2 it,s not able to see the Eiffeltower. I was three times weekly around Paris with truck , but i needed more than a year too see the Eiffel Tower in real life from my truck.Jasmin-j wrote:I'm just interested, if Paris got the Eiffel Tower or even the SCS knocked down, but we have to wait for the French to rebuild. Re: Public Beta 1.27 discussion
I hope not that would be highly unrealistic. There is no where in the game where it would be realistic for a truck driver to be able to see the Eiffel Tower.Jasmin-j wrote: if Paris got the Eiffel Tower

Did someone know if the trailer axle lift up and down automatically? Like the axles on the trucks, cause many trailer have the automatic option irl.
Re: Public Beta 1.27 discussion
So what's your conclusion, it's worth to update game to 1.27 and spend again even more time to update mods? have License plates errors indeed gone ?
on the blog presenting the changes in 1.27 somebody said that in the new version the GPU limits are pushed too much comparing with any of the previous version, too much even for his GTX 980.
in 1.26 my GTX 960 runs already at maximum with reasonable graphic settings, while the same system handles well even newer games like Dirt Rally or Cars

Re: Public Beta 1.27 discussion
If you want to keep up with the future, there's really no choice but to update eventually. Updating 1.26->1.27 should be less painful for you than if you skip a version and do 1.26->1.28. If you don't update, the new features in 1.27 will mean that you can no longer use current mods (since 1.26 won't load the new model format, amongst other things).
Do not update to 1.27 beta unless you are happy to be running a beta. Wait for the release version. If you truly understand and accept the issues with beta code, you should be able to answer your own question here.
Your choice, be frozen in time (including no new or updated mods) or deal with the mods issues you signed up for by installing mods.
As for the graphics performance, backup your data folder (where your profile and mods live) and try the new version. If you don't like it, you can switch back relatively easily.
The license plates errors are almost entirely irrelevant, if you mean the maximum license plates log warnings (which are not errors). That should not be anywhere in the consideration for updating vs. not updating, as it's a trivial cosmetic issue which you largely can't even see (other than in the log).
