Turning of GPS pop up sounds?

I dont know if this was a last up date on ets2 but
latley I'm getting im this darn annoying sound when the gps pops up on its own

any way to turn this off??

Are you referring to the sound you get if you get a notification for a traffic fine, paying a toll, buying fuel and so on? The "cash register" sound effect was changed in 1.27. It's a good sound effect, but every time it runs it startles the #^@% out of me! Maybe it's because the sound effect includes the sound of coins dropping into a cash register drawer -- but it always sounds like somebody in the sleeper just dumped a bunch of marbles all over the cab.

If this is the sound that's bothering you, I wrote a simple mod to replace it with the one from the earlier versions of the game. Look in the Steam Workshop for " Classic Cash Register UI Sound ". (Author name is different; it's my Steam handle "Unseen Cat".) If you run ATS, there's one for it too in the Workshop.
