Actually in a case like this a petition could be helpful.

Most online petitions are not worth the time looking at, but in this case a correctly worded petition can be used to show how much player interest would be in Company X giving a license.

Rather than saying "give x license now!" use it in a "we the undersigned would really like to see x licensed in x game" not demanding a license but just collecting names of the interested. See what lawyers like are numbers, and 100,000 people asking for a license has some weight.

Online petitions don't worth too much unless there's a legal obligation to consider it when the signatures tops a specific number. However, it wouldn't hurt either, so, as Moh1336 said, find a guy with good PR credentials to write a good message and be polite.
