What was your first truck in ETS2?

Mine was a Volvo FH16. Was the cheapest truck with the most hp at that level lol. Wanted to have an american rig but ETS2 has none O.O
Upgraded it over the time. Still have it. Would buy a DAF if I had to start again

when ets2 came out the branded trucks were MAN Scania and Renault

Yes, I remember when whe still had Ivedo, DAV, Majestic and Valiant. My first truck was probably blue Valiant/Volvo FH16, for best hp/price-ratio. This was still on physical copy my brother owned, after couple of years I bought my own copy from Steam. Also had new profile with red DAF similar to OP's, which still is a reliable work horse for one of my employees.

Hmm not sure whether I should say all these...

- My very first truck I owned in ETS2 was a red 360-hp R-series on a demo ... and then illegal profile. Let's leave it there. This was four years ago, I knew nothing about trucks, was only just getting into PC gaming (I'm just 18 now) and immediately became a Scania fanboy. Or claimed I was.

- A little later on I deleted that profile. I don't know why. The first truck here was a 310hp Stralis. I bought three of them, I had a red one with paint trim and drivers had grey ones with plastic bits.

- Just a few months later, I finally grew up and bought the game. As self-inflicted punishment for using a crack - something I would never do today - I restarted again, partly because the Stralis fleet was annoying me. I was starting to know more about trucks too and I began my new fleet I still have today with a 540hp blue FH16. I then progressed through a long line of XF105 that I actually really enjoyed - still like those trucks. At this stage I still hadn't decided my allegiance to Volvo - it wasn't until much later on I became a Volvo fan, in-game and in real life, which I still am today. The early Scania infatuation has long since passed. Sadly I don't own any of my first trucks anymore - I sold the entire old fleet in 2015 and bought hundreds of new trucks in one go. I regret it now but I did it because I wanted to have a greater sense of management - now I have a spreadsheet with every purchase date and registration etc. recorded. I got my G27 around the same time.

Hopefully you can see I've come a long way since I first found this game! The Scania/Iveco era was actually only a few months though - I found ETS2 entirely by accident in early 2013, during the 1.3.1 days. 1.4.x released a few days after I actually bought the game. My vehicle preferences are now firmly Volvo and I've been driving my current IL65 MNT ... since 65-plates released. (September 2015, for those who aren't UK.)

If I had to start again, knowing everything about trucks I now do, I'd probably use an XF105 or a Hi-Way for value for money and driving fun. I really enjoy driving both of these when the Volvo's booked in for service.

NB - In ATS, my first truck was a 370hp 10-speed Peterbilt 579. I do still own it - my entire fleet still numbers only 7. New order of four T680s will arrive soon.

The first truck I've ever driven in ETS2 was a orange Scania R730 6x4... can't remember my first owned truck though...

The first one was acacia green scania 360hp i believe, was a scania guy back then in 2013, but quickly found the boring, i dont own it anymore, infact most trucks i never own over 10000km i have tried al trucks but i really like the Man trucks sadly the scs one is not very good and the slow blinker throws me of immersion, so i have used MADsters man for a good period and they are very realistic.

My first truck, still on ETS1, was a Renault Magnum, beige.. For me, it was awesome!

Then, in ETS2, my first truck was a Renault Premium, white And, since then, in all the profiles I've created, the first truck was almost always a Premium

Just because of this topic and me thinking back on the fun times i had in the Volvo FH2009, i had to buy one and remake it, but with new addons ofc.

I dont need all those fancy Scania mods to have fun in ETS2. Infact, i did clear out all other mods and only kept the lights roofbars and interior etc. in mod folder after this.
