I think I remember a rumour that the telemetry SDK would feature a Linux/OSX version as of 1.27
So now that 1.27 is running smoothly on my Hackintosh, I bopped over to SCS official site
https://www.eurotrucksimulator2.com/mod_tools.php
only to be redirected to
http://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Main_Page
and when I went to
http://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Documentation/Tools
there was no link for the SDK. Hmmm.
I can still DL 1.6 SDK from the legacy, archived tools page. But this older version offered support only for Windoze.
Back in March, Komat did say
"The Linux and OSX version of ATS 1.6 (and future ETS2 1.27) should be able to use the telemetry. The examples in the SDK contain a makefile which should work on Linux and OSX."
And Jonathan said "The current SDK (1.8) explicitly mentions Linux. I guess that's supported now?"
So I guess now we are at 1.27, my question is.... where can I DL the latest greatest SDK 1.8, so that I can do some experiments with OSX/Linux remote displays etc?

Re: telemetry sdk, OSX ... need help!
Sorry for the long hiatus. Some life drama interfered with my ETS2 habit. Anyway, I did DL 1.9 SDK, and I can compile the telemetry .so on my OSX platform successfully. So that's encouraging.
Failing any advice from readers here, I have stumbled forward by trial and error. See https://github.com/Funbit/ets2-telemetr ... /issues/23 for my progress so far. Briefly: I have got the telemetry_position.so compiled and installed, the game engine acknowledges that the SDK is being invoked, the log file acknowledges that the .so has been loaded... everything seems OK... and then... Nuffin. I get no telemetry log file. I get no error message. I get silence.
I'm not sure whether the init function is never getting called or if it is failing instantly. This makes it a little difficult to do any debugging, 'cause I have to get the init function to run in order to exec any debug statements. I've tried forcibly re-initing from the console (sdk reinit) which also has no apparent effect.
If anyone could cast an eye over my story so far I'd appreciate it. It's frustrating to have got this far only to hit the brick wall... And does anyone know the C function for writing to the dev console? Since I can't get fopen/write to do anything from w/in the .so, I thought I might try writing debug msgs to the dev con so that I could see some output after sdk reinit. But I have no idea what the syntax would be for writing a message to the dev con. Does anyone know this?
