Only if the trailer is loaded to it's maximum, otherwise we will have underloaded rear axles. Or I don't know something about, and cargo is placed in front to increase tractive force?

when we go after Goldhofer they say 10 to 12t per axle if you drive 80km/h with the trailer

so for booth SCS trailers it would be

Low Loader: 40t to 44t

Flatbed: 50t to 60t

for the trailer alone

and then the truck with 10t for the steer axle and 11.5t for the drive axle

a 2 axle truck can carry 16t a 3 axle truck 26t

table at the end and the row for Germany

Fifth wheel load of 4-axle low loader is 46 tons. The 8x4 tractor have to bear cargo at the maximum for it's tires, it is approximately 23t to 24t for the drive axles and 11t to 12t for the steer axles.

My posts were not displaying in time, also I made a mistake in calculations. It must be 19t to 20t and 9t to 10t, of course if there are the same sizes of the tires.

Does the trailer lift axle always work no matter how heavy the load is?

And I guess SCS does not plan to fix this? ... if they consider this wrong

I mean connection between flatbad and truck is not flexible - how to manage load between truck rear axels and this front axel?
There is uohills, downhills etc., - vertical angle will change all the time and sometime trailer axel will carry all weight and even weight of rear axels of the truck.

No. On heave trailers it not work.

I think that semitrailers with front bogies are completely not intended to use on the terrain where those effects can not be sufficiently compensated by suspension stroke. Also if the tractor is relatively short such as 4x2, it minimizes the influence of any unevenness.

Well, heavy machinery often used where is no flat asphalt at all - constructions, and you need to get there somehow.
But from another side - this axel will help not to stuck, when low loader will start touching the ground.

Another issue. Iveco Stralis with 310hp engine have same fuel consumption as for 62 tonns, and as for 24 tonns. No metter what - always 31L/km on 80km/h.

And there is something wrong for all trucks - no matter how you torture your engine with heavy weight and uphills - no one wants to boil, or just simple overheat.

no it will not overheat because its liquidcooled and has a fan + plus any slight movement will get enough wind into the radiator to keep it cool, if your truck or car overheats it lack cooler fluid or something else is wrong, besides you dont heavy haulage trucks pulled over all the time due to overheating would be a mess.
