I had that problem using Windows 8 64 bit. My solution that fixed it was to run facetracknoir as administrator (right click on shortcut, run as administrator). Once i did that, ETS2 automatically recognizes the tracker - no settings required. You can even turn it on in the middle of the game and it will work.

Also, I found the face tracker works best for ETS2 when just using the YAW axis. the other axises (axi?) are not really required and just cause problems - i turn them off. Also, i adjusted the curve to have a large deadspot up to like 10pts so i really have to turn my head for it to respond. this way unless I really want to look around, the camera stays centered. Once i set it up like this, it works great!! No need for LED hats or anything like that. It does what i want it to do, only when i want it, and i can use it at night with my normal lighting. I'm using the logitech c310.

Be sure to map a key to turn off the tracker so when you want to relax or take a sip of coffee, you can just press a button to turn it off while driving. With the settings I noted above, you don't have to sit perfectly still to keep it straight, making it much more relaxing and ultimately useful. I can even eat and drink without it freaking out.

Good luck!

I tried last night with my webcam (Logitech C525) and all it did was move the mouse CONSTANTLY to the left. I was barely able to click stop to stop it from doing that. Help? I have it on my monitor (19") and I'm sitting directly at (center of) screen level in terms of height.

Nevermind about my previous post where i said it was going crazy - now I have a question. What is the best camera angle to put your webcam at?

I have installed FaceTrackNoIR, did the setup as per the instructions, the webcam picks up my face movements, but there is no response in the game.
ETS2 does not pick up what FaceTrackNoIR is sending out.
Are there any keyboard-settings in ETS2 I must change to use face-tracking?
Do I have to modify the config.cfg file?
I start up FaceTrackNoIR, and then ETS2, but nothing happens in the game.
Are there other programs I must use with it, to make it work?
Please help!!!

do you by chance use windows 8 64bit?
caiuse someone above mentioned that facetracknoir had to run with admin rights, i was having that issue and run as admin and started to work fine.....
even if you dont have win8 64bit, try to run as admin, maybe it helps.

Hi guys! I need some help. I installed the program on my computer (Windows 7 X64), set everything up correctly, my webcam works very well (although not new) but does not work in ETS or ATS. I did the same procedure on my laptop (Windows 7 X64) and it worked first. What can it be? Webcam? The webcam of my computer is older than the notebook... Please, if anyone can help me I appreciate... Sorry about my english
