Neither was multiplayer.

Boiled eggs would only take a few minutes to make, multiplayer could take months or years! Not a very good comparison ksrele.

Plus, I don't think anyone is trying to beat anybody here, no need to switch sides. You think multiplayer should be in the game, I say stick with it, but hopefully you will stick to your word and leave it be.

How do you know this?
You are programmer? How many games did you programmed?
I had made 2-3 small and one very big 3D game.

How long did that take? Do any of them have multiplayer?
Please note that I said "could" not "will".

I'm not about to get anymore involved, I can already see this going around in circles again, I will wait for your response and then I am done with this topic.

That 3D game has simple MP. One game session is seperated from others.
For main part of game (to put object in 3D space and make gravity) [object ware modeled by my friend] took me 2 days, for making math formula for movement objects took me 1 week, to make random 3D dice trowing-rolling (very-very hard thing to do) took me 1 week and few days to fix bugs, and to add AI (computer players) took me 1 week. I make GUI when I lose my nevrs on other problems. So GUI ware made parallel to all other thinks, but in the end I spend 1 week to optimize it all. And in the end I add MP and for that I use free server-client solution and it took me 2 days to implement in game.

Every thing can be made simple, little complicated, very complicated, mega complicated.... I ask SCS to make simple MP for beginning and latter to complicated it. But, they want to make it complicated right from start.

So now you don't want boiled eggs. You just want raw eggs?

First your a computer programmer who wants SCS to hand over code so you can rewrite the game then you have a limited knowledge of programming when your given the opportunity to send your CV for the chance to work for SCS then your an average programmer with limited knowledge when your bluff is called and now your a fully fledged game writer......anyone else getting a headache trying to keep up

What the name of this 3-D game? What engine do you use to run this game?

So you want simple multiplayer, but then over time for it to become more complex, makes sense.
But you built your game in your own way. And SCS built their game in their own way, so something that seems simple to you and for your own game, may be hard for SCS to do in their own game.

So, Mr. Sebor, polite as always, as expected. Others... as expected.
Thanks, SCS, I think we learned enough from your letter and, I must say, I am happy that your plans are getting bigger and bigger.
To be honest, I can't wait for that MP, properly made by SCS!
Keep it up! [ external image ]

Yes! Please make a multiplayer option! If not in ets2 then in the next project you are working on!

Sounds like Pavel's got it goin' on. Well done. My interest was particularly piqued by the following snippet:

"...ability to connect the players so that their single player games temporarily intersect..."

An interesting approach to MP - I wonder how time synchronization might be accomplished? If two players connect up for some convoy intersecting, etc. I'd expect they'd have to agree on the in-game time while traveling together - otherwise one might be driving at night and the other during the day.

Will need to think about this a bit more.
