Anyone else noticing the issue with this transmission option that the truck hardly ever gets into 12th gear, so far it keeps sticking in 11th gear.
Re: What does Adaptive automatic transmission option do?
gerbiepiep, does it do the same without a trailer? Downslope? How does it behave?

Re: What does Adaptive automatic transmission option do?
is there an optin in gameplay to allow this, or is it part of the patch? if it is, i haven't noticed any difference with it.

Re: What does Adaptive automatic transmission option do?
Today i have driven around with the Scania 730hp / Volvo 750hp / DAF 510hp / Iveco Stralis Highway 560hp.Cadde wrote:gerbiepiep, does it do the same without a trailer? Downslope? How does it behave?
Both the Scania and Volvo seemed to have this problem, with cruize control, and without, no trailer and with trailer.
If you mean with ''downslope'' going downhill? Than the issue remains.
Only time i seem to be able to put it in 12th gear is by constantly feathering the throttle, takes a while to get it in 12th gear though.
But as soon as i activate cruize control or keep the throttle down all the way, and the road goes only very slightly uphill, it drops back to 11th gear and stays on it all the time.
While 12th gear in those situations offers still more than anough torque to move forward and not slow down.
The Iveco Stralis Highway and the DAF seemed to shift up to 12th gear normally, but comparing the end gear ratios 11th/12th gear, of the Iveco / DAF, to the Scania / Volvo, the gear ratios from 11th and 12th gear of the Scania and Volvo are to far from eachother to be able to work with the adaptive automatic transmission.
My suggestion would be to make the gap in gear ratios between 11th and 12th gear smaller, let them shift up to 12th gear earlyer and they will probably work correctly.
Re: What does Adaptive automatic transmission option do?
I've seen it too. It's quite annoying since you can use less fuel if you change to 12th gear.
