VR - experimental support
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
@Katixa
Well, I mean that if I hit ESC, the menus move around when I move my head, giving the impression that they're floating in the air, in a stationary position. The background, which is the game itself, doesn't move; combined with the menus, this strengthens the feeling that the background is moving in the opposite direction. The same applies to the tutorial messages when in an outside view.
Immobilizing my head still will probably work, but it's not a great demonstration of VR support. It would be enormously natural to pan the external camera over when I turn my head to see the space I'm trying to park the trailer in (a lot of words to say that it should show what I'm looking at), and it just doesn't do that.

@Orogogus: That's weird... when hitting ESC you should go to a 3D floating menu with your current truck in the background, but all in a real 3D environment. I don't feel any sickness there as it's a normal VR scene.
Try pressing F11 while on the menus, and see if that changes anything.

Every day above ground is a good day.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
@Orogogus: that behaviour in third person view is expected with the "outside camera view". But the menu should not have that problem. At least not with my dk2.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Is there a time frame for "official" Oculus (vr) support? Are patches and updates automatically included in the Oculus beta? The latest dlc still won't load in beta, Mighty Griffin pack I believe.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I purchased mighty griffin but it does not work with Oculus Can you guys please update the Oculus branche so that Mighty Griffin works? And also please include France DLC when it gets released because I will purchase that for sure but I need it to work with the Oculus to get the most fun of it.
Howecer compliments for the guy who made the Oculus support. Can't thank you enough for doing so because you made the most awesome gaming experience ever for me!

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
@Ro0llo: It hasn't work since the day of the release (when I bought it).... but as this is a beta branch, I though on patiently waiting (I would have appreciated a small version bump for the game to detect it anyway, but I guess there were technical reasons to not do it).
Now with 1.25 it should work, even if it's the Oculus branch... once they push it to Steam

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
The oculus beta on Steam for both ETS2 and ATS was updated to be compatible with the latest patches.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Thank you!
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Thanks Komat for the time you invest in this relative small group of users with an oculus. Shows you really care about the customers.
