Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
true. the reason that facebook bought to OC was said on TV as that such goggles has the future and that when it's in retail that we can watch a movie together while you are at the other end of the world and im just sitting here... that must be crazy. i personally think its a good product and it can be an advantage to games but using it for a purpose i just mentioned.. no way its way more fun to watch a movie with friends in the cinema real-life instead of watching it together trough goggles xD..
Cheers

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I want to raise everyone's aware that facebook is a business / financial centred company.
The future of Oculus Rift is bad now.
At first, Oculus Rift was a project started in Kickstarter for raising funds and what now ? Are they lack of money for development ? It a cheat.
What can you expect from someone who has no faith ?

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Does ETS2 1.9 have improved Oculus Rift support (better positioned UI elements, for example), or is it unchanged from earlier?
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Only some small improvements. It fixes aberration of blue channel and disables most of the cabin shaking.Quboid wrote:Does ETS2 1.9 have improved Oculus Rift support (better positioned UI elements, for example), or is it unchanged from earlier?

Thanks Komat. My DK1 arrived about an hour ago so it's time to jump in!

If anyone receive the DK2, please comment.

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
My DK2 order was submitted within the first 30 min of the preorders so I am expecting delivery next week or the following. However, the game will need to be updated with the DK2 SDK since the tracking protocols were changed. They haven't relased this SDK publically but I believe some larger developers have already received copies. Hopefully SCS was on that list.nudelife0 wrote:If anyone receive the DK2, please comment.

Let's wait for your hands-on experience on DK2 and decide whether to paid for this DK2.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Just made an account to post here
ETS was my favorite game with the DK1 so I'm really hoping that you will support the DK2 early on.
Am I right to assume, that it is no coincidence that you added the seat adjustments just now? It seems as if it is a game mechanic similiar to what will be necessary for the positional tracking of the DK2. Is there any ETA for DK2 support?

Finally, I get the comment :
Code: Select all
DK 2 is far superior than DK 1, no motion sickness better quality but DK 2 still offers that same horrible pixelated picture, try one for your self but don't tell me I didn't warn you lol
