VR - experimental support
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Is there anyway while playing on the Vive to display the game on a monitor as well? I only get a black screen and was going to try and stream the game but cant figure it out if its possible.
EDIT : Well I got it to work using the steamvr display window option but to get it fully screen you need to show both eyes which I dont what when streaming. Doesnt seem like its possible at this time.

So I just did this and my version says "Beta" is that correct? I have tried everything to get rid of the occasion stuttering on ATS and ET2....Lowered settings to "Low- Med" scaling 100-75? Download De-Bug tool and have tried 45-AW on and off. Still I am little confused.....To launch on the Rift do u guys use Steam VR or just click on the desktop icon?? I know thru steam you get the options in which to run....Which one should I be using?? Direct X 64 bit?? I thought I had it running good the other day, but it's back to the stuttering- warping either around the cities, or when traffic get high.... Love these games, and I am very addicted at this point. I can't even consider play both of these game without VR....

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Has anyone found a way to move the trip advisor? I didn't see a thread on it.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I don't think it is possible (yet). I would like this feature very much also. Even better would be when info such as ETA, the news ticker and the amount of money you have could be displayed in the in-dash navigation (there's in-dash navigation with the luxury cabins). Having it incorporated in the in-dash navigation would definitely improve the immersion (no more floating trip adviser).

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I'm getting insane artifacting, kind of a hall of mirrors thing going on, with my CV1. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? The game is entirely unplayable as such.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
I seem to have found a way to 'fix' the stuttering. You need to cap the fps to 45 with ASW (async space warp) enabled, using the Oculus Debug Tool. The tool is part of the official Oculus SDK and can be downloaded from Oculus: https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/ ... r-windows/
Unzip the SDK package somewhere and look for 'OculusDebugTool.exe' in the subfolder 'Tools'. Launch the .exe (you probably will get an UAC screen, just click yes/allow) and in the 5th row called Asynchronous Spacewarp choose the option 'Force 45fps, ASW enabled'. Leave the tool running, don't close it! Now start ETS2 the usual way. Fps should stay relatively stable at 45 fps and no more judder / stutter!
Please let others know if it helped in your case!

Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Just curious if the new 1.27 update works with the rift or do I need to stay on the Oculus 1.26 beta? I got my rift a few weeks ago and am just getting around to figuring out the best setup for ETS2/ATS.

1.27 is currently not compatible with Oculus, I will need to update the beta branch.
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Oculus 1.26 beta still work in VR but now, we can't connect to Job online service until Oculus 1.27 beta
Re: Oculus Rift - experimental support
Patiently waiting.....Appreciate your time with the updates.....
