Screens by Nicklasmp
Re: Screens by Nicklasmp
Thanks for the tip abass. Nicklasmp, sorry to hijack your thread. Guys, when I mentioned about the flares in the shape of xeroxed butts I was trying to point out how does one make the flares' illumination on the ground in a different shape? For clarity, look at the couple of pics below. Another job for the blender specialists or editing the mat files would do the job?

Sorry Nicklas for continuing the off topic
Made this pic to show how those different settings in the vehicle_flarename.sii affect the reflection on a surrouding object when the flare shines on it.

specular_color = is not used in the SCS original files except for traffic lights. I like to add this to reduce the "sharpness" from the effect of the diffuse_color. Just look how nice traffic lights reflect on the road/truck. The higher value, the stronger the effect is
diffuse_color = plain reflection of the flare. The higher value, the stronger the light "lights up" the surroundings
range = how far from the lightsource the reflection will have an effect
inner_angle = is the distance from the center of the flare when reflection starts. For an example if you want a flare to reflect less on the parts that are close to the lightsource, increase this value.
outer_angle = is the width of the reflection. The lesser value, the more spot-like effect. Max value is 180 (degres).
