I had similar happen to me , in US the word fanny refers to the butt, in Australia it refers to the female front parts not the rear. At dinner my daughter was acting up and I told her I would spank her fanny if she didn't behave.(only a threat) My Australian guests gasped and their faces were red in embarrassment. Took a bit of explaining on that one.[ external image ]

Replace the i from this word with u and you will get the same meaning, but in romanian! :lol:
