Poll is closed but I vote Yes. Trains do need sound in ATS. In real life I've never seen one pass by with no sound.

AND.... they also need the air horn to blow to warn you at every RR Crossing.

Talking about Doppler effect… it's a necessary add-on to every simulator, in my personal opinion, to everything that produces sound and moves relatively to our position. Therefore it should be added to moving trains as well, whenever possible. It's as simple as this. :)

I believe it ahs to do with the game engine they're using. Other sims and games have way more sound effects built into the game from scratch where mods aren't needed. Arma III is one of them.
