As I said in this post viewtopic.php?p=144161#p144161
This tool look way to complicated to use. Imagine using it on "small" resolution like I have 1366x768 on laptop. There is no room for anything when all those windows and panels are opened.

They should help Keda to finish his plugin to bee full (with editing animatios and all) ant that will be VERY good project. Now, when I look at screens from this SCSBlenderTool I see that it changes Blender almost to not recognizable interface.

Skining truck is not so hard job when you have good idea and this templates (and good tool like Photoshop), but when you want to make skin and don't have good idea what you want on it then it will bee very bad skin. Or if you don't have "eye" for aranging colors... then it is better for that one to just drive truck and let job of making skins for someone who knows it. ;)

Hmm for me all those pannels don't really matter as usually I'm using my tablet to handle all those mod bars and leave the main screen for 3D and UV views only and with SCS version I'll do the same. But I agree with you ksrele that they should work with Keda as his tool is user-friendly. Actually the only 2 things that annoy me are when importing having a material missing and the model turns out white - would be better if only the missing materials aren't loaded. And 2 I really miss a idiot-proof tool for creating materials with custom properties - I don't really understand all those dif.lum.spec thingies >.>. That's why I'm so interrested in that SCS tool - maybe it will be abit more user-friendly in that matter. And still blender is easy to setup so I guess we will be able to put all those panels into one side panel and uncover the screen - if not - then sorry - buy more screens :P

The panels are no issue, people.
This is a plug-in for Blender, just like 50keda's. You still work with Blender and you can move, arrange, hide or display which panels you like.

And, GT-Mike.. those dif.lum.spec thingies are not that complicated.. they're just effects telling the game engine what to do with that material. The names tell the story ;)

Materials usually come with shaders as well.

@a03345678, at least they know what they are talking about.

Yeah I know - but for someone who doesn't speak english very well the names don't tell all. Like it would be cool to have options like:
-glass material
-skinnable
-paintable
-chrome
etc.
set up with default values and the user then only changes them to his/her liking.
