ets 2 crash after lastet update.

Hi im new to ets 2 and scs forums but im having a slight problem with my ets 2.

i got my ets 2 with the going east and scandinavia dlc for xmas 2016.

I have less than 5 active mods installed all from steam workshop. ihave the xmas dlc installed aswell.

my problem is i was playing ets 2 today 20/1/17 and my ets to crashed to to desktop during gameplay i have only twenty hours on the game.

graphics setting to high,

all other settings in game as they were i play using an xbox controller.

pc specs are

processer amd fx 8070e 8 core @3.3ghz with boost to 4.0ghz not overclocked

graphics card asus raedeon rx480 8gb strix model

windows 10 64bit

32gb ram

i run ets 2 in 64 bit mode.

i had no errors on screen just a stright crash to desktop.

the mods i have are rjl scania and scania t by rjl scania r and streamline modifications pack by rjl, scania engine sounds and sounds fix v1.71, baobab tree trailer load by floris all are activte at time of crash to desktop.

game version is the lastes version v1.26.6s

i dont know how to find any log reports so i need to know where to find them and how to find out if my mods are out of date.

any help is accepted.

the game.log.txt, found in your Documents folder where the ETS2 profile is stored (on Windows this is usually My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\ , and may appear abbreviated to "game.log" where on Linux and OS X the logs are found at "~/.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/" ). Yes Perfect, but in this log your game did not crash, did it? (When quit is used last in a log, I would not call it a crash)
But your log says that several of your mods does not work.
Do you even know what all these mods you have there do?

I give to you the "no skill needed" solution for this problem, that does away with checking confusing logs entirely!


* Load game
* Enter mod manager
* Disable all mods
* Confirm changes
* Load into garage on your profile
* Create new save

At this point, try to drive in the game world. If your game crashes - it means there is a problem with the base game. Verify your game files on Steam and retry the process.
If it still crashes after that - file a ticket with SCS

If it did not crash, then continue with these steps:

* Go back to profiles page
* Enter mod manager
* Enable one mod only
* Confirm changes
* Load into garage on your profile
* Try to drive in game world

If game did not crash, rinse repeat the last 6 steps, adding one mod each time until the game crashes.
Once it's crashed you know the last mod you added is the culprit for 100% surety.

I'm sorry to tell you this, Sticklebrick, but that may or may not actually work. It all depends on what type of mods have been used, and whether they leave anything behind in saved games when the mods are disabled. If the game crashes after removing all mods, it actually means there is a problem with "leftovers" in the saved game, not necessarily that there is a problem with the game itself.

Just to be sure, reset the game's economy by opening the Developers Console and type g_force_economy_reset 1 in the dev console and press Enter, and close the dev console. Load the profile again. When it opens you'll see the "Game changed, your truck has been relocated at no cost to you" message. Open the dev console again and type g_force_economy_reset 0 in the dev console and press Enter, and close the dev console. The game's economy has been reset. This is to make sure any mod that has anything active in the game's economy is disabled when you disable the mods.

There is another useful console command: 'g_remove_missing_accessories 1'.

Full process of removing accessories:

1. load your game profile
2. type "g_remove_missing_accessories 1" in console
3. manually reload your saved game
4. type "g_remove_missing_accessories 0" in console

In your case you aren't meeting minimum spec. Given that you are also using a 32bit system and mods, it's highly likely your crash is a memory issues than anything else.

I'm no tech expert though, just guessing.
