[SOLVED] Euro Truck Simulator 2 Crashes To Desktop (No Mods)
Re: [SOLVED] Euro Truck Simulator 2 Crashes To Desktop (No M
I'm happy that you found a solution to the problem. I never use "new drivers" just because they are new. As you discovered, frequently they fix one thing and break two others in compensation...

I have your same problem, so I want to know what drivers you installed to fix the problem.Matt Hsv wrote:Finally after much trial and error I have Solved the Problem!
the problem was the "New AMD Video Card Drivers" now im not sure why but the newer drivers are causing the game to have direct x issues once I uninstalled the new drivers and re-installed the old drivers I had on my computer from 1 year ago the game started working fine again I would say to anyone having problems like this to look at your video card driver as this could well be the cause like in my case. So just because the video card drivers are the newest doesn't mean they are the best I am going to be sticking with this driver for a while now.
Thankfully now I can get back to the game I love playing Euro Truck Simulator 2!
I use the ATI drivers 11.12...
Thanks!

It's not a solution to install drivers from 2013. Only this game crashes, each time with "0x88760868" dx9 error. In fact not crashes - game is steerable with no visibility on screen. It's unplayable if every 5-10 minutes I need to restart game and drive some of the course again...

Same problem here. After some time of playing, game crashes (but it's more likely minimazing) and I can't do anything. I checked logs and there is a problem with dx9... i have Radeon R9 270X. What can I do?

Well, i am seeing a pattern. And that pattern exists in many titles.
AMD cards. And the fix for such issues is installing (and cleaning out previous) drivers of various versions until it works.
Since I don't own an AMD card I really can't offer much more than that.

That's your choice, of course. But have you tried Matt Hsv's solution?
Re: [SOLVED] Euro Truck Simulator 2 Crashes To Desktop (No M
We tried them all, unfortunately the problem persists. Given the problem that presents itself, I have no choice but to uninstall: since I can not play.
