This is my assumption
Engine damaged = lower HP = lower acceleration. Engine shut downs often if damage % is higher
Transmission damaged = slower acceleration due to jamming during changing gears
Chassis damaged = problems with keeping your truck in straight line ?
Cabin damaged = ??????
Wheels damaged = weaker grip.
But how is this really implemented in game?
Damaged parts of Truck. What are negative effects ?

Transmission damaged= may not be able to shift to certain gears (stripped gears, correct me if I'm wrong)
You are correct on engine damage.
Can't help ya any further though unfortunately.

Transmission damage= certain gears malfunction
Correct (gears get corrupted from the last through the first).

How high does wheel damage have to be before you start losing control of the truck? I have not really noticed this at all.

I do wish they would rename that to tire (tyre) damage. Wheels are the round things the tires (tyres) are mounted on!

I think you mean "the rim is the round thing the tire is mounted on" and "1 rim + 1 tire = 1 wheel", so wheel damage seems correct, because it is not only the rubber that gets worn...n4gix wrote:I do wish they would rename that to tire (tyre) damage. Retired, but still loving it.
Re: Damaged parts of Truck. What are negative effects ?
under wheel damage is hidden damage/wear to tyre, rim, brakes, damper etc.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

Not to be pedantic, but where I'm from they are wheels, not rims:ohaha wrote:I think you mean "the rim is the round thing the tire is mounted on" and "1 rim + 1 tire = 1 wheel", so wheel damage seems correct, because it is not only the rubber that gets worn...n4gix wrote:I do wish they would rename that to tire (tyre) damage. The "rim" is technically the flange of the "wheel" that seals the tire to the wheel...A tire (or tyre) is a ring-shaped covering that fits around a wheel's rim to protect it and enable better vehicle performance. Most tires, such as those for automobiles and bicycles, provide traction between the vehicle and the road while providing a flexible cushion that absorbs shock.

In any case, I accept that "wheel damage" includes both tire wear as well as bent wheels and/or wheel rims caused by banging into curbs...
