The look of the new menu and icons is OK. And it's gonna be possible to change the view by modding. But the UX is bad, to say the least. All of the Eaton transmissions in the base game are automated manuals. Technically you can't shift any of those with an H-shifter - but we don't limit the players ...

It's just a manual fitted with a bunch of electronics to make it a auto Transmission, basically a DCT, A DCT is a Manuel trans fitted with electronics. Not all of them, though. Hiding the Map in the submenu was a really poor choice. The most commonly used functions should require the least amount of work to do. Especially since there's so much unused screen space in the main menu.

Opening the map used to be 1 instant click in the main menu, now we have to aim or click and re-aim and click again. As if Map and Quick Travel were used equally often. This is really poor UI design. Most commonly used functions should take the least amount of work to do.

Just tried the beta the first time. First impressions: Running the game fullscreen in lower resolution is not possible. It just does not work correctly at all. Wikipedia says that this depends on fifth wheel model. Some of them have an extra axis for roll, some do not have it so they don't roll.

I believe it is a leftover from the times when there was no truck speed limits in the game. Some players got used to it, I guess, and SCS kept it as an option.
