Not if you play racing sims a lot. Doing that with G29 etc. is possible, but quite undesirable... But yes, it's not for everyone because budget.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Since we’re still talking outside the one and only steering device subforum (hint: why is it still inside the ETS2 forum, do ATS players not have input devices?): What do you guys think what the best brake pedal is for a trucking game? Truck brakes don’t work like those in a passenger car, so most s...

It should be nearly unnoticeable anyway since it’s just some unevenness in the surface that you would hardly see even if you watched it with your eyes close to the ground. Somehow it feels like “there’s an effect, I want it to shake me up!”.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
You don’t have to buy the pedals from the same manufacturer. For $200 you’ll get load cell pedals, good for racing but a truck’s brake feels totally different, and a $200 high end shifter is over the top as well. (That said, I just bought a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter for “just” €130 which was a nice ...

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Well, Doom runs on mower robots and toothbrushes, so there’s that. ;P (There’s truck driving apps for phones and tablets too…)
But they did say it wasn’t that much fun, didn’t they?

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Yeah many TV sets have a “game” mode that turns off image processing in favor of low latency. It may so happen that this is also the best mode for watching TV or videos…
If both the computer and the TV support high fps and low frame times that’ll also be helpful for reading signs.
