Re: Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
Oh, this is getting too complicated.
Bora, so basically only thing I need to use is a retarder then? I mean it was always enough, so I am fine with it, but I wanted to ask anyway.
And wish me luck, tonight I am diving into Italy.

Elmer, only difference between auto and non-auto is that with non-auto you have to set it, which is what I would do, otherwise it would kick in anytime you lift off the throttle.
And what about that engine brake? Is there any indicator? Do the strength levels matter and work?

Re: Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
But I can see there is an option in the bindings to raise the level (I reckon that represents amount of cylinders used for braking) of the engine brake, so therefore I would guess there is some sort of an indication to not lose an overview over the strength of it...well, if that makes a sense, of co...

Re: Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
Great suggestion, Max. You are absolutely right, it was a deadzone problem indeed. I use Steam controller - when I was setting it, it did not show any "peak meter" value, so I thought it was totally fine (it turned out it had needed just one step from min. deadzone value). So, yes, the ret...

Re: Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
Okay...thank you all for your answers. I have just done this: - disabled all mods - restarted the game - ensured Automatic engine brake and retarder is unchecked (I have always had this unchecked). So I took a new Daf 106 for a ride... - scenario 1 - retarder at max level (level 3) going down the hi...

Re: Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
I see, I will have to update mods, then. Where is the option you mention? I have just got through them and I noticed only the option for an automatic retarder. And I tried it with Merc MP4 and I do not know if it is just because of lack of sound, but it feels just the same with the max level of reta...

Retarder - has something changed about them since v1.30?
Hi, I have a question if I may. I have been using retarder for ages and using it to decelerate downhill or just usually before braking (just adjusting with +/- key and liked how it went away at 30-40km/h), but ever since 1.30 it is just like ABS - it does not work for downhill at all and it "tu...

@jules.raton I think you should definitely continue developing it, there is still so much to do...especially in the windshield drops department.

Re: Frosty Winter Weather Mod v6.1 [Upd: 17 Dec 2016]
^ indeed, the bloom is excessive now, also Grimes, any way around the speed in which rain/snow falls from the sky, it would be truly special to have slow falling snow flakes (outside the cabin)... ;) Right now, there is just this one http://ets2.lt/en/improved-snowflakes-v-2-0/ , which I quite like...
