Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

Regarding the language SCS used in the latest blog post, I chalk that up to them being foreign to the US and not fully polished in English. That first picture they posted is at the following location between Moore and Mackay, my favorite town in Idaho, mainly for its location to all of the great mou...

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

There is no ambiguity about what the Western Slope is, and it does not start at Vail. It is everything west of the divide, therefore it starts above the tunnel. It simply refers to the direction of the watershed. Come on now, ALT2870!

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Independence Pass/CO-82 has a 35-foot length restriction, so that and Aspen will not be in. Box trucks can do it, and semis have, but cause major traffic jams in the few 1.5-lane sections on the west side, thus not legally permitted.

Re: Colorado pre-research tips

Another place that recently came to mind is the Denver Coliseum along I-70. It is a signature landmark rolling through town and I think should be a can't-miss asset.

I'm going to find it interesting how scs handles the Rockies and the bypass of the Eisenhower Tunnel the trucks have to take since they're not permitted in the tunnel.
Only hazardous material loads aren't allowed in the tunnel. All other loads are.

Re: Idaho pre-research tips

I love Idaho. I wish some locals would have chimed in here for landmarks. I've spent five weeks worth of picture-taking trips here over the last few years, so I'll add a few suggestions. This video is of US 93 which I am sure makes the game. It is primarily mostly Idaho, but it also ventures into Mo...

Re: Colorado pre-research tips

I believe there was some talk early in this thread about highway 550, whether it would be included or not. Since it is present in New Mexico, I'm pretty confident SCS would continue the rest of its path north to Montrose, where highway 50 takes over to Grand Junction. It is a main highway, and the M...

Trademarked or not, I'm sure you're aware how they handle such things already to avoid licensing issues. Call it Bunny Ears Hotel, or Rabbit Ears Hotel/Inn.

Re: Colorado pre-research tips

I guess now that Colorado is inching closer, it's time to post something. For US-40 in the northern part of the state, SCS must, must include the Rabbit Ears Motel and its iconic (neon-lit) sign in Steamboat Springs. It's the first real landmark entering downtown as you come down from Rabbit Ears Pa...

Re: Public Beta 1.3 discussion

That is exactly the point. You don't travel in residential areas in-game, thus there should not be 25 MPH zones. Edit: based on your following post, I'm guessing you aren't a US resident, and thus not familiar with our roads. 25 MPH is most assuredly out of place in the layouts represented, which ag...
