Re: [2.14] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Dear galimim, just a short question: Shouldn't modern engines paired with modern gearboxes shift earlier up at for example 1300 or 1350 rpm and doing a downshift at about 925 to 950 rpm? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mOSQfzb-_E In this video, the truck shifts up at about 1250 to 1300, as to be se...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
original issue most probably found (and fixed internally). it seems that one minor improvement in suspension computation was not that good as we thought. thanks for report and hints. That is really good news! Thanks a lot for your information. You guys at SCS are the best game studio I've ever know...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
Does it affect all trucks? Because I have (without extensive testing) the feeling that my Volvo still works fine. I've done excessive testing with several trucks, even modded ones and can confirm that this affects all trucks. Didn't test the Volvo though... I'll do that as soon as possible. Trucks ...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
But we will be optimists - we will hope and believe that the developers will fix everything (without harming twice as much at the same time). ;) I hope so :D SCS is simply the best game maker out there. The main reason in my eyes is that SCS is very responsive to the wishes of the community. No com...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
I just tested whether the problem also occurs in ATS - unfortunately that is confirmed. Only after a certain gradient does the fuel consumption increase, but rather inconsistently. You drive on a straight track, then the road rises slightly, but the fuel consumption remains the same. The road climbs...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
knox_xss Thanks for your reply, but I think you've kind of misunderstood me. Of course, with a given throttle at a given gear you'll get a roughly constant amount of fuel consumption. If you put 20 % thrust on the pedal (or exactly 0.2), then you'll have the same amount of fuel consumption when usi...

Re: Recently changes in game physics??
Here are two screenshots. They have been made from a clean profile without any mods. The fuel consumption is more or less the same.

Recently changes in game physics??
Hello SCS/Community, Have there been any changes to game physics recently? Every single truck needs just as much fuel with light gradients as with straight sections, regardless of whether it is uphill or downhill. If it goes slightly downhill, for example, the Scania XYZ needs about 26 liters per 10...

Re: PC fans really loud when playing ETS2
I always play with a frameratecap/-limit at 60 fps and FreeSync. Another option I tried recently was AMD Chill with a 48 fps min limit and 60 fps max limit (my tft has a freesync range of 48 Hz to 75 Hz). This saves a lot of energy and causes less lag and stuttering. My Vega 56 went down to about 45...
