Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Okay, now this is epic! This is the exact blog post I've been waiting for, and everything looks amazing! Glenwood and De Beque (pic 11) Canyons look perfect, and I'm glad to see some shots of US 34 and of Mt. Garfield (pic 3).

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Very nice map! I'm glad to see US 50 is in, and I'm surprised the 34 made the cut. It doesn't look like a truck route , but I hope its edge wasn't taken off too much. Assuming the map's vertical scale is accurate, this will be the highest accessible point in the game. I'm wondering what's going on w...

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Wolf Creek Pass is confirmed. It's the focus of this screenshot from the announcement blog. The screenshot you referred to for Tennessee Pass is actually the crossing of the Eagle at Red Cliff, but Tennessee isn't that far to the south, so I think there's a good chance we'll get it. I also think the...

Re: Texas Discussion Thread

Vive le France in ETS2 featured multiple airports as job sites, so it wouldn't be unprecedented to do the same with Texas. I think that, like with France, the cargo terminals would fall under a new company (like a parody of Delta or FedEx) instead of each airport being unique.

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

I've been keeping track of these achievement postings for these kinds of predictions. The average period between achievement posting and release is 48 days. 48 days from now is Monday, November 23, so assuming it'll release on a Thursday, two possible dates are 11/19 and 11/26 (Thanksgiving). The sh...

Re: Best map of DLC?

luibee The 66 generally follows I-10 from Santa Monica to I-15, vaguely follows that freeway to Barstow, then runs along much of the same path as I-40 all the way to Oklahoma (with some deviations, like with AZ 66), so you could follow part of it with just the base map. If you want more of Route 66...

Re: Mileage bragging Thread

That would be "mi" in Cyrillic. It does look a bit weird, though, with the rest of the text on the display using the Latin alphabet.

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

I hope they'll also add the road up Pike's Peak, just for kicks and giggles. On GMaps, though, I can see a construction site and some trucking up there, so adding it with a Plaster and Sons wouldn't be too far fetched. The mine looks great, by the way. I love that it includes job sites deeper in the...

Re: Google maps truckspotting

Here's a beauty: westbound over Teal Lake, near the summit of an unnamed pass in the eastern Misquah Hills, just south of the Canadian border near Grand Portage, MN. It's a shame the imagery here is old and crusty, and that, when we reach Minnesota, this part of the 61 will require Ontario.

Re: Easter Egg Thread (updated 15 aug 2020)

Very nice update! That's a great catch with the Extraterrestrial Highway signs at Mt. St. Helens; I wonder if this means more enhancements to Nevada are coming. I would remove the Lewiston mural as an easter egg. Although it's hidden, it's there in real life. I just remembered a few more: off US 93 ...
