Re: Kansas pre-research tips

I think we should better wait a little until the official Kansas research thread gets started by Kraake or any other dev if you ask me. For the devs it's easier if all useful information about a given state is concentrated into one thread and not scattered over two or more. Also, both the devs as we...

Re: ATS 1.40 Open Beta discussion

Overexposure of the sky is back to what I feel is correct on a very sunny hot day. Also, the same thing for a concrete road. This is good news as i absolutely agree with you it was dimmed down too much in the last few versions. As you correctly say this has also been true for bright surfaces like a...

Re: ETS2 1.40 Open Beta discussion

Pfffff suuuuure..... Yes don't let them get you down dude....keep telling us the tRuTh :D But I find at daytime the daylight is still too bright.... That should be fixed. Oh god please not! They have already dimmed down the brightness of a sunny day compared to earlier versions which is not to every...

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

In 1.40, the sign “Trucks 35 mph” has been added at some places. While it feels immersive at Lewiston hill, it doesn’t make any sense at White bird. The road is almost flat and much less riskier over there, I could do above 50 without toppling (with stability sliders to the left, with 75000 gross)....

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

This is a really cool video from InterstateKyle on YouTube of a beautiful drive through Wolf Creek Pass in the early Fall (Autumn for our European friends :D). He drives from Pagosa Springs east towards Alamosa. You can even watch it in 4K! Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDTrbhAtVQE SCS rea...

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread

Yes base map rebuild team assembled probably sometime in late summer/early fall. The current size probably not more than perhaps 3-4 people i guess. In addition, as info for killingjoke, we could also mention that Jakub, the head of the team, was previously also responsible for Utah and Idaho as a m...

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread

That deepgrove prefab in California is using a reworked road in the game to drop in a new company. Flight, just a quick note on that. It's not using a reworked road. That Deepgrove prefab came with a completely new section of CA-299 which was added with i believe either update 1.34 or 35 something ...

Re: ATS 1.40 Open Beta discussion

I personally liked 1.40.0.69 the most. Compared with the first open beta versions, they reduced the "eye adaption effect" but the outside world from inside the cabin still looked slightly overexposed which gave the scenery more brightness especially around noon. Bright surfaces (including clouds) ca...

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

LAFAYET47 I think you are confusing the subtropics with the tropics here. Depends of course a bit on the classification but generally the mediterranian climate is seen as subtropical. Therefore, large parts of Iberia and California (as well as most of south/south east US in general) falls under the...

It looks a bit like US-491 between Monticello and Cortez to me.
