I figured it out. It was 2 .dll fils in my win_x64 folder. I deleted those and the game works fine now

game still crashes with all of those things mentioned removed. When I restart the game after the crash, I try going back into the same profile, the game gets about halfway thru the loading screen, and then crashes again

@SeePayne81 Make sure that the Steam Input mappings aren't conflicting with your in-game controller mappings. You might have to disable Steam Input if that's the case.
