Re: ATS 1.40 Speculation Thread

@Virgo91 I agree with you about making driving school optional, if indeed that is what SCS is working on. I have been playing ATS for four years, and drive LCV’s almost exclusively as of late. I would be incredibly irritated if they make it mandatory.

Re: Freightliner Trucks Discussion Thread

Does anyone know if the video is aimed solely for the Canadian market? Or is it aimed to all of North America, with the implication that if the 122SD can handle the bush roads of Western Canada, it can handle any road conditions through out North America?

Re: Rail improvements for ATS

I definitely would like to see trains with up to 2 or 3 dozen cars, and depending on length, up to 2 locomotives (both at the head-end, one leader & one rear DPU, or one leader & one mid-train DPU). Currently, I am using POWERFULL's train mods and they do help enrich my playing experience, but I do ...

Re: Favorite truck in ATS

If PACCAR does want to have a new truck released for ATS in the future, I could see the redesigned Peterbilt 579 being a prime candidate.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

It would be nice to have the engine sound effects that is currently in use for the Cascadia, at least until they have a chance to get sound recordings from the 49X. In addition, I would like to see the inclusion of the new Detroit Diesel vocational transmissions, especially the DT12-VX. With a rated...

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread

It's been a long while since I have delivered or picked up loads at Hornbrook. For me, it is nothing more than a rest area. Speaking of which, I do hope they start enlarging the California rest stops to be more LCV friendly, and include repair shops at some of them.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

Not to draw any conclusions, but it looks like there is enough room for another axle between the tanks and tandems on the 48" sleeper variant. With or without the extra axle, just having a sleeper cab on the 49x will make me plenty happy.

Re: Favorite truck in ATS

My vote is for the Western Star 49X, as I feel this is the truck that can go anywhere, especially on rough roads. This truck is heavier on the scales than the other day cab trucks and the 46,000 lb. Airliner suspension is depicted, reflecting the vocational configuration. I am looking forward to get...

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

I imagine that the 49X will likely get the same set of sleepers as the Cascadia did. It would be nice if they also include the setback axle version in order to maximize maneuverability, especially with a sleeper, but I am not counting on that.
