The key with the 1:1 cities is it needs to be somewhere flat - high viewing panoramas with too many objects trigger the bug mentioned a few posts above, that objects vanish. I put a map in the Paris 1:1 manual showing the worst effected area that I call the wipeout zone. I'd love to have done Naples...

There's only a limited number of areas that have both a garage and a company, and you need both to use them as starting locations. The ones you can use are listed in the manual pdf. It's a bit difficult to find the city centre ones as you can't zoom in, so I suggest the ones to the North. Does that ...

Hi MesocycloneNL xqxq Thanks for your interest. I did start off with a custom traffic def, but it caused lag and crashes to desktop, so I reverted to the default, and I've not had time to look at re-implementing something. I agree though - I jokingly call the map "Covid Lockdown Paris 1:1"...

Hi doozy You'll need to copy a game log file here so we can debug. There's a lot of possible reasons. I'm dumb... I thought I had no mods running. In fact I'd got a mod running for real world AI trailer names. As soon as that was disabled, I was back to ultra graphics.

Not sure why the mod would impact simulation speed so much, but there you go.
