Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread

Fully agree that long haul getting better with each release just keeps adding to the overall ATS value. Seattle to Houston is probably less than 1.5 years away which is a longer distance than San Diego to Chicago (2300 vs 2100 miles). Wyoming won't increase the max road trip distance but it will hel...

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread

I feel like they've shown us way more about Wyoming at this point than they have about any other state with so long to go before release. Let them focus on Iberia and 1.40 for now.

Re: Wyoming Discussion Thread

I have a feeling that US-85 will not come with Wyoming, but if it did then we'd be getting some wonderful Great Plains density without having to wait another 2 to 3 years for Kansas and Nebraska. I just really really really want to see a sign pointing towards Custer where US-85 and US-16 meet in-gam...

Re: ATS 1.40 Open Beta discussion

Similarly to ETS2 1.40, ATS 1.40 has left me generally very happy. I agree that the brightness on the GPS and dash is a bit too dark, which might be realistic but it's difficult to see it especially as the sun is setting. Also, this isn't a bug but I think the depth cue color is a bit too blue. Migh...

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

It is incredible how much detail and customization there is in the 49X update. I'm really blown away and SCS really outdid themselves on this one.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

I'm just now watching the 49X stream since I always have meetings when streams typically start, and my goodness the video they showed for it was amazing! I can tell SCS has outdone itself with this update.

EDIT: 36 Chassis options!!!

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

My first impressions are very positive. I took a load from Paris to Stuttgart and I think the best way I can describe the improvements is that while not a revolutionary change, they do a great deal to enhance the realism. Rain clouds seem to pass by more naturally and get lighter and darker with int...

Western Star 49X Sleepers!!! I'll never need another truck again, here's hoping they updated the sounds too and it'll be one heck of a truck.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

I had g_bloom at 0 before this update and I moved it back to 1 for 1.40 to see if it is tolerable, since I want the game to look as the developers intended it to if bloom looks better with the update. We will see. It looks really really good so far but I do think this is highlighting the AA issue ev...

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread

Congrats SCS team on the open beta! I can't wait to try this out on my lunch break pretty soon. I think the lighting update was a great move strategically to keep the games relevant in years to come. Also I'm beyond excited for Germany to be completely redone finally. And new French cities!
